In a landmark moment that underlines the growing partnership between India and the Netherlands in sustainable agriculture, Nature Bio Foods BV proudly welcomed a high-level Indian delegation to its state-of-the-art facility in Rotterdam.
Organized in collaboration with Valuecent Group, a key player in fostering Indo-Dutch business and institutional relations, the visit marked an important milestone in Nature Bio Foods’ ongoing efforts to bridge continents through responsible and forward-thinking agri-business practices.
A Delegation of Eminence
The visiting delegation, representing the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, and leading industry bodies such as IFFCO, PHDCCI, and others, was led by Joint Secretary Shri Siddharth Jain and included:
- Shri Kumar Ram Krishan, Director, Ministry of Cooperation.
- Dr. Jatinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI)
- Shri Rupesh K. Pandey, Senior Secretary, PHDCCI
- And other important delegations from IFFCO, PHDCCI, NCDC, Radiant Infonet Pvt. Ltd., and Hindustan Agriculture and Legacy Food Products Pvt. Ltd.
Also gracing the event was Mr. V.K. Arora, Chairman of LT Group, the parent company of Nature Bio Foods. Mr. Arora took this opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with the Ministry, reaffirming the Group’s unwavering dedication to building climate-smart, fair, and resilient agri-value chains between India and Europe.
An Organic Legacy, Reimagined in Europe
Nature Bio Foods began its journey over three decades ago in India, driven by a simple but powerful mission: to promote organic, ethical, and traceable agriculture. Since establishing its European headquarters in the Netherlands six years ago, the company has expanded rapidly — emerging as a key supplier of certified organic food ingredients to customers across the continent.
The world-class 20,000 m 2 Rotterdam facility, a reflection of this growth, stands as a symbol of innovation and purpose. During the visit, the delegation was given a guided tour of its advanced infrastructure, including:
- CO₂ cleaning setup powered by four tanks, designed for chemical-free and food-safe processing
- Intelligent warehousing systems with storage capacity of 15,000 pallets that ensure streamlined logistics, integrated inventory control, and real-time coordination
- Cutting-edge packaging section, with three independent lines, handles up to 4 times more per shift, enabling swift turnaround across diverse packaging needs.
This tour allowed dignitaries to witness first-hand how Nature Bio Foods BV combines traditional agricultural wisdom from India with modern European technology and quality systems.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Conversations during the visit were wide-ranging and insightful, covering themes that matter deeply to both India and the Netherlands. Key focus areas included:
Climate-resilient agriculture and regenerative practices: with a shared commitment to promoting farming systems that can withstand environmental challenges while restoring soil health and preserving natural resources.
Strengthening bilateral trade in sustainable agri-products:aiming to build transparent, equitable, and long-term trade partnerships that benefit both producers and consumers in both regions.
Supporting smallholder organic farmers through fair pricing and transparent value chains:ensuring they receive equitable value for their produce while fostering traceability and trust across the supply chain.
Collaborative efforts toward carbon neutrality and responsible business ethics
focusing on reducing emissions, improving sustainability metrics, and upholding ethical standards in agricultural trade and operations.
There was a shared understanding that the future of agriculture must be built on trust, sustainability, and international cooperation. Nature Bio Foods’ role as a facilitator of these ideals was widely acknowledged and appreciated.
A Model for Global Collaboration
What made this visit truly special was the sense of mutual pride and respect between a company rooted in Indian soil and now flourishing on European ground, and a delegation like IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative) carrying the aspirations of millions of Indian farmers and policymakers.
At its core, this gathering was more than just a formal tour. It was a celebration of partnership — of two nations working together for a food system that is healthier, more inclusive, and environmentally responsible.
Looking Ahead
Nature Bio Foods continues to work closely with government agencies, farmer cooperatives, trade bodies, and international institutions to shape a more equitable food future. From its grassroots engagement with over 95,000 organic farmers to its high-tech operations in the Netherlands, the company is proud to serve as a bridge — connecting people, produce, and purpose across borders.
This high-level visit by IFFCO and other dignitaries has not only strengthened Indo-Dutch ties but also reaffirmed Nature Bio Foods’ position as a global leader in sustainable agriculture.
With renewed energy and deeper partnerships, the journey continues.
